7492 SOURCE: Björn Stockman - Sweden - Carl Johan Hane moved October 20, 1873 from Skedevi, Finspång, Östergötland, Sweden to Svebbevad, Örebro. September 20, 1887 moved from Skedevi, Finspång, Östergötland to Amerika. He was a Methodist.
------------------------------------------------------------
In the Swedish passengerlists I found
Carl J. Hane, 33 years old
Johanna, 27 years old
Anna, 8 years old
Agda, 6 years old
Alfred, 3 years old
Anders, 4 years old
Edith, 1 year old
They all left for America from the port of Göteborg on May 13, 1887. They are listed as comming from Skedevi parish, Östergötland county and they had a ticket for Kansas City. The strange thing is that they are not listed on the same ticketnumber (source code), but perhaps the person who made the database typed it wrong.
Carl J. Hane has the source code 32:58:2339
Johanna, Anna and Agda has the source code 32:58:2439
Alfred, Anders and Edith has the source code 32:59:2439

Dear Madam,

According to the passenger lists in the Police Chamber of Göteborg vol. EIX:32:58:2439 and EIX:32:59:2439 in respect of Carl
Johan, Johanna, Anna, Agda , Alfred, Anders and Edith Hane, the ship was "Orlando", destinated for Hull, England. The shipping
agent was John Odell.
Hane, Carl Johan (I3313)

7493 SOURCE: Björn Stockman - Sweden - Anders Fredric Hane was an apprentice iron worker. (apprentice iron worker = Mästersven Hammarsmed in Swedish). He moved in 1859 from Skärfors to Skedevi, Östergötland. They immigrated from Skedevi, Östergötland to North Amerika on June 26, 1880.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I found Anders Fredrik
Anders Fr. Hane, 52 years old, left for America from the port of Göteborg on July 2, 1880. He is listed as comming from Sködvik (!), Östergötland county and he had a ticket for Buchlin. Source code: 15:367:17260. He travelled alone.
It is strange that he is listed alone, because in the household records he is listed as leaving from Skedevi with his wife Maria Nilsdotter and 4 children. I can't find Maria and the children anywhere in the passengerlists.

Please let me know if you want the information from the household records database.

Hello again!

Here is the information on the family of Anders Fredrik Hane:

The blacksmith hand
Anders Fredrik Hane born June 23, 1828 in Skedevi parish, Östergötland county
w.Maria Nilsdotter born Oct. 15, 1840 in Gräsmark parish, Värmland county
s.August Fredrik born Jan. 2, 1865 in Skedevi parish
d.Alma Maria born Nov. 2, 1867 in Skedevi parish
d.Anna Adolfina born March 24, 1870 in Skedevi parish
s.Frans Emil born Jan. 11, 1875 in Skedevi parish
This family got their moving letter for America on June 26, 1880. At that time they lived at Hävla bruk in Skedevi parish, Östergötland county. (Source: Skedevi household record 1880, page 118)

I don't know why I can't find Maria and the children in the passenger lists. Do you know if they came to America? If they left Sweden they perhaps took they way to Värmland ( to say goodbye to grandparents?) and then left from the port of Kristiania, Norway. That is just a guess!!

7496 SOURCE: MARRIAGE RECORD: Ethel states that she was born in Galesburg, MO. No record has been found in Jasper County Missouri of her birth. Her birth place should be Burlington Junction, Nodaway County, Missouri.

DEATH CERTIFICATE - Ethel Estelle Rabb died in the morning of March 23, 1973 at the Valley View Nursing Home, in North Platte, NE. She was attended by Dr. William B. Niehus of North Platte. The cause of death was a possible cerebral vascular accident or myocardial infarction as a consequence of arteriosclorosis.

NOTE: Ethel had fallen in the bath tub and hit her head on the cold water faucet creating a slow cold drip on her head which in turn had probably kept further complications from happening. Ethel lived across the street from her daughter Eula. Every morning Ethel would get up and raise the blinds, so Eula would know she was all right. On the morning of January 13, 1973, when Eula got up and looked out, the blinds were not up. She went to check on her mother, Ethel, and found her lying in the tub.

March 05, 1973 Officiating: Rev. Gilbert Yeryin, David City Congretional Church, David City, NE. She was 89 years old when she died. Ethel is buried at the David City Cemetery, David City, NE. Ryan & Tickle Funeral Home, North Platte, NE was in charge of the funeral arrangements and Ethel was buried next to her husband, Carl Detlov Peterson, in the David City Cemetery, David City. She had 4 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.
