My brother in law gave this CD player to my son to do what he likes to it. My son is 14 years old and into the electronics stuff as well but until recently he likes to disassemble more then assemble, if you know what I mean. I reckoned this player was to good to be scrap so I bought it and gave my son another player which also played MP3 and film and games and ... Deal.
I then discovered this thread and was sold.. :-) Look at 6h5c (Ray) homepage and you know which way you must turn the carpet to pray to Mekka. The Technical CD-player mods of Mekka :-D
I have not done all mods yet but almost all. I also still have some problem. Sometimes the sled is starting to whine and open and close without me doing anything. Hmm... I have to do my own CD player, with a CD controller kit maybe?
